We believe…

God The Father

…There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19),  equal in power and glory; that He has revealed Himself to be perfect in love, holiness and righteousness; that He created all, upholds all, and governs all (John 1:1-3; 10:30; 14:26; 15:26).

Jesus Christ

…In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, as the Holy Son of God and the perfect Son of Man, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His personal future return to this earth in power and glory to rule and reign (John 1:1; John 3:16; Acts 1:9-11; Romans 1:3-6; Colossians 1:15{ff}; Revelation 11:15).

Holy Spirit

…In the third person of the Holy Trinity who indwells the Believer upon acceptance of Jesus Christ as Savior and who fills the person with Himself to empower them to live a holy life (Galatians 5:16-25).  The regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation (Titus 3:5).  The Holy Spirit has come into the world to reveal and glorify Christ and to convict and draw sinners to Christ.

…In the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, as the inspired and only infallible and authoritative written Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16).  That God through His word, has revealed Himself in history to all men through His chosen people, through the prophets and especially through His own son, Jesus Christ (Deuteronomy 29:29; Matthew 5:17 & 18; 2 Peter 3:5

Repentance and Salvation through Grace

…Man was originally created in the image of God (Genesis 1:26).  He sinned by disobeying God; thus, he was alienated from his Creator. By one man sin entered into the world and death by sin, and so death passed to all men, for all have sinned. Man’s nature is corrupted, and he is therefore totally unable to please God in the flesh. The only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ.  This salvation if offered freely by God and is a gift of grace (John 14:6; Ephesians 2:8 &9; Romans 5:2).

Baptism and the Lord’s Supper
…That water baptism by immersion, (Matthew 28:19) is an outward expression of the inward transformation.  That the observance of the Lord’s Supper by the symbolic use of the bread and the fruit of the vine (1 Corinthians 11:24,25).

Baptism in the Holy Spirit

…The baptism in the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for it. That this baptism empowers the Christian to walk in new life (Matthew 3:11; Mark 1:8; Luke 3:16; Acts 8:15-17; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 2:20).

The Gifts and the Fruit of the Spirit
…That the Holy Spirit has granted gifts to true followers of Christ; and that spiritual fruit will be manifest as evidence of a Spirit-filled life (1 Corinthians 12:1-11; Galatians 5:22-23).

The Church

…Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church, the Body, which is composed of all humans, living and dead, who have been joined to Him through saving faith.  That God admonishes His people to assemble together regularly for worship, for participation in ordinances, for edification through the Scriptures and for mutual encouragement (Ephesians 1:22; Ephesians 5:23; Colossians 1:18; Hebrews 10:25; Acts 2:46 & 47).

…That God expects His people to petition Him regarding the issues they face and to expect Him to answer.  That prayer is one of the most powerful resource the followers of Christ can employ in combating the forces of evil in their world (Matthew 21:22; Mark 11:24; Luke 18:1; John 16:23; 2 Corinthians 10:3-5; Ephesians 6:18; Philippians 4:6; Colossians 4:2; 1 John 5:14).

Healing and Miracles

…The redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer (James 5:14 & 15; 1 Peter 2:24).  That miracles, signs and wonders are to follow those who believe (Mark 16:17; John 14:12).

…In the sacredness of marriage between one man and one woman; that children are a blessing and a gift from God.  The home is the place where the father and mother should teach the Scriptures and set an example of sacrificial love. The continuance of the Church from generation to generation is dependent on the bearing, nurturing and training of children and on the God ordained male leadership in the home (Psalm 127:3-5; Ephesians 5:31-33; Ephesians 6:1-4; Hebrews 13:4; Matthew 19:5 Leviticus 18:22; Genesis 2:23-25).

The Rapture

…In the blessed hope – the rapture of the Church at Christ’s coming (Titus 2:13).

…In the resurrection of both the lost and the saved – the one to everlasting damnation and the other to everlasting life (Revelation 20:11-15).
